We are a community of people who have collectively created and use an alternative form of economic exchange, or community currency.
We barter goods and services directly and use a virtual currency called Green Dollars as much as possible instead of Federal currency (the metal and paper some people have in their pockets or banks).
Membership is free! But you get out of it what you put into it. LETS is a community. You need to take the time to let others know what you have to offer, and what you request, via posting on the GOODS & SERVICES LISTINGS and attending events. -- If you think this is for you, consider joining and getting yourself into Victoria's alternative marketplace!

The core of LETS is the GOODS AND SERVICES LISTINGS where members post what they have to offer and what they request. After becoming a member, each member is responsible for posting on this GOODS & SERVICES LISTING, and keeping their listings and their contact information updated. We are a community, and being able to contact each other efficiently to buy what we need is important.
We have found that attending events increases the buying and selling of goods and services within this economy. Look below for the next event.

Community Currency Workshop

The next Community Currency Workshop will take place this Saturday, April 27, 1:00-4:45pm. The workshop is free. Location this week will be the Sunset Room at 401 Herald St. in Victoria. I've been a member for many years, and have seen dramatic changes. Now what's happening with LETS? One might say it continues to build community as it boosts local economy. Another might say LETS was something I thought I would try but it never really happened. How about you?
